Job Title: Promotoras

Job Responsibilities: As a Promotora, you will be an important part of our team, providing support to the program coordinator and other partners to ensure the success of our community outreach efforts. Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to organize and prepare for events

  • Maintaining community relations and outreach

  • Assisting with volunteer management

  • Supporting the Art Director with media-related tasks

Qualifications: We are looking for someone who is passionate about community organizing, social justice, and working with diverse communities. Some of the qualifications we are looking for include:

  • A strong commitment to promoting healthy living and a clean environment

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to relay information in a culturally appropriate manner

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Proficiency with technology, including Google Suite, social media, and Microsoft Office

  • Familiarity with Long Beach's political, social, and economic landscape, particularly as it relates to North Long Beach

  • Reliable access to transportation and the ability to work evenings and weekends

Compensation: We value your contributions to our team and offer competitive compensation of $20/hour. This is a part-time position, with 20 hours of work per week for the duration of the project, which is 50 weeks long. Your total pay will be $20,000.
