Starr King Neighborhood Artivation and Capacity Building Collaborative
A collaboration between Puente Latino Association and the Starr King Neighborhood Association, Funded by the Long Beach Health Department through the Long Beach Recover Act.
Purpose and Goals
Our initiative is dedicated to transforming our neighborhood into a vibrant and safe community. Through small-scale social events and beautification projects in the alley behind the local elementary school, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and pride. Our goals are to:
Expand the outreach capacity of the neighborhood association
Promote social cohesion and strengthen the local support network
Encourage volunteerism and boost community resilience
Increase safe spaces throughout the neighborhood
By beautifying and activating the underutilized alleyway, we aim to prevent crime, reduce opportunities for illicit activities, and enhance the overall safety of the area. Join us in building a connected and secure community!
