Dia De Los Muertos

Puente Latino will host an alley activation / Dia de los Muertos event on October 28 at the alleyway behind Starr King elementary school. We are curating a vibrant atmosphere that pays tribute to the rich culture and traditions of the Latino community. The event will feature music, performances, and entertainment that resonate with the heart and soul of our heritage.

This event is more than just a festive gathering, it aims to create positive change in the Starr King neighborhood. We will offer a unique experience that celebrates Latino Heritage and addresses critical social issues such as safety and crime in our community.

The event will feature activities for all ages
• Cultural Showcase: Attendees will have the opportunity to Immerse in the heart and soul of our Latino heritage through captivating music, performances, and entertainment that resonate with our traditions.
• Alley Activation: Attendees will experience the transformation of the alley behind Starr King Elementary into a safe, engaging, and beautiful space for our community. This activation will represent our collective effort to combat social issues and provide a secure environment for our children.
• Hands-On Activities: Families will actively participate in the celebration. Create traditional crafts, ofrendas, and decorations that embody the spirit of Dia de los Muertos.
• Educational Experiences: celebrate the ancient tradition of Dia de los Muertos and learn about the symbolism behind the ofrendas and the importance of honoring our ancestors.
